Challenge

A large international law firm based in Washington DC with offices in six major metro locations in the US and Europe, needed new phone new phone and MPLS services to replace their existing provider who had become unreliable. They really wanted to improve their network performance and move to SIP from their current traditional TDM voice services. They did not want to replace their existing PBX systems for several more years, so they needed their new SIP service to be delivered via traditional PRI hand-offs at each location.

Results

ETP managed the RFQ process and delivered results from five well qualified providers. We were able to narrow it down to one provider fairly quickly. The carrier we chose together was well known for providing industry leading MPLS networks with the an array of flexible SIP based voice options. The customer selected a  fairly new SIP services that allowed them to pool all their SIP trunks into a common pool paths that could be accessed by all locations. This had the dual benefit of increasing the capacity as needed at each location while lowering the overall cost of the services when compared to having to choose a full PRI or multiple PRI’s at each location.
